When your kids are yelling for sauce with their pancakes and when you want to yell if you spend any more than 5 minutes in the kitchen
Peanut Butter – 1 heaping teaspoon
Coconut sugar or any sweetener you prefer – 2 teaspoon (vary based on your sweetness level)
Water – 1/4 cup
Grind above 3 ingredients in a small mixer and pour out the yummy sauce for your kids to enjoy
If you are thinking – Why bother Swetha? Can’t I just put peanut butter and honey in their plate and have 1 less dish to clean?
While I am completely with you regarding the dishes (I hear ya sister!!), I have found that adding water and thinning out the sauce helps with-
1) Spread-ability of the sauce and
2) It stretches the same ingredients longer
(i.e., if you are looking to portion control one’s intake of peanut butter or a sweetener, water is a great way to stretch the components)
I hope you try it and various combinations of it – different nut butter, different sweeteners and good ol’ water!! Happy Cooking!!
