Vegan, sugar free pista kulfi smoothie that is super delish, healthy and so easy to make…need I say more???
Pista kulfi is such a lovely Indian flavor!! In this recipe, I use our wonderful, beautiful Indian spice – cardamom. Just 5 ingredients:
- Frozen Banana
- Almond Milk
Blending these 5 gives you the easiest, super creamy Pista Kulfi smoothie that you can make at home. It really is a simple symphony of these few ingredients working in harmony.
The frozen bananas add a delightful creamy texture that has a rich mouthfeel without actual cream.
The balance of ingredients is also important, so note the ratios. Don’t go over-enthusiastic, especially on the cardamom. Yes, even though I pledge my undying love to this spice:), it is a force of nature to reckon!!
This vegan, sugar free pista kulfi smoothie has only 5 ingredients and is creamy, delish and healthy!!
- 1 Frozen Banana (large)
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 2 Dates
- 2 tbsp Pistachios
- 1-2 pods Cardamom (Peel and use inside seeds only)
Blend in a high powered blender. Serve!!
Until my 2nd daughter was born, I did not think it was possible for a person to not like cardamom flavor. Like, how is that possible? Hmmm, It remains a mystery!! Anyway, other than her – every one else, to whom I have offered this smoothie have loved it.
The green color is a delight. The heavenly smell of cardamom is a delight. The creaminess from the bananas is awesome…and finally, the lack of sugar, but the subtle sweetness of bananas + dates makes this a fantastic, refreshing smoothie for the upcoming hot summer.
